Googling for images
David Dorn passes on a tip that can keep you occupied for hours on end...
Did you know that Google will let you search for pictures? Well, it will.
Now, here's the thing. Most digital cameras have a default filename construction. Canon's D30, for instance, calls its file 'imgXXXX.jpg' where the 'X' is any digit (0001, 0002, 0003 and so on). Others use 'DSC0001.jpg' and so on.
So here's what you do - you open up Google, and using its picture search, enter a random number after the 'img' or 'dsc' or whatever other prefixes any digital camera might use. You may get a surprise at the results.
This particular writer has, by now, spend absolutely ages browsing through the many thousands of pictures such a search throws up. Give it a go!
